Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for a hint of spice
  • Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  6. If the sauce seems too thick, add a little reserved pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.
  7. Serve immediately, topped with optional Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes.
