Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 4 large eggs
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Butter and flour 6 (4-ounce) ramekins.
- Melt butter and chocolates in a double boiler or microwave. Stir until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale and thick.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
- Fold in the flour, vanilla extract, and salt until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
- Place ramekins on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still soft.
- Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto serving plates.
- Dust with confectioners’ sugar and serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve with ice cream or berries for an enhanced experience.
- Do not overbake, the center should remain molten.
- Can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
