- 1 cup crushed cereal (e.g., corn flakes, frosted flakes, or fruity loops)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Optional: Cereal for topping
Instructions
- Combine crushed cereal, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Press into the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cereal crust.
- Chill for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Before serving, whisk together milk and powdered sugar to create a glaze. Drizzle over the dessert.
- Garnish with additional cereal if desired.
Notes
- Any breakfast cereal can be used for the crust and topping.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- For a firmer texture, you can add 1 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin dissolved in 2 tablespoons of water to the cream cheese mixture.
